Activities related to IALP:

• A member of the ESPL was elected a member at large on the board of IALP in 1983. He served on the board till 2007!
• A member of the ESPL was elected president of IALP in 1995.
• Another member was elected a member at large of IALP board in 2001.
• A member was elected as honorary member of IALP in 2007.

Congresses hosted singularly or in association with ORL:

1. The ESPL Organized the first Middle Eastern course for human communicative disorders for MDs in 1977.
2. Hosted several seminars in human communicative disorders with eminent foreign guest speakers since 1979.
3. Hosted the World Congress of IALP in 1995.
4. Hosted the IALP Composium on Central Auditory Processing Disorders [CAPD] in March 2009.
5. Hosted a combined Egyptian-Swedish Meeting of Phoniatrics in January 2010
